  1. Discussion and New Business
    1. Comments made about some remaining low spots needing additional gravel.
    2. Noted that the proposed clear cutting has not been completed, but the plans are that the clear cutting will take place as marked. The extent of the clear cutting will effect some members hunting areas.
    3. Curtis Boyce discussed that the placement of bow stands should be no more than 100 ft from permanent stands and that common sense, good sportsmanship be exercised in all situations involving the approachment of other hunters stands and in activity in and around other stands and hunting areas.
    4. Campers at the camp area will pay $50.00 to Wes Hunt Club for electricity expense for 2011. Adjustments will be made in the future if this does not cover the electric expenses.
    5. Suggestion made and authorized that a sheet be posted at the Camp House for recording deer taken during this season. The sheet is to have a place for the following:
      1. Date,
      2. Name,
      3. Indicate whether it is a Doe, Button Buck, or Legal Buck (points), with notation of method of kill
      4. Hunters should have numbers posted on permanent stands by October 1, 2011 with flags out today. It is understood that the clear cutting could result in some changes. Flags going into stands should be posted today.
      5. The red lines indicate the area is a wildlife conservation area and will not be clear cut
      6. The red sign on a permanent box stand needs to be no more than 100 ft from the stand and no red sign should be more than 300 yards from your stand. WHC provided 2 red and 2 orange signs for each member.
      7. Membership expires June 30 of each year.
      8. Non-returning members must remove their stands no later than July 31 each year, which is 30 days after membership expires.
      9. It is understood that Wes Hunt Club is not responsible for your stands
      10. It is further understood that Wes Hunt Club will not be responsible for any stands left by non-renewing members after July 31 each year.
      11. Trash pickup schedule is Thursday am’s at approx. 9:00am – 9:30am. All trash should be secured in bags and should be placed for pickup on Thursday am. No loose trash is allowed. Please exercise common sense in not leaving the trash there exposed for animals to scatter.
      12. Some general discussion as to number of meetings, work days and allowable absences by members. It was left that this will be dealt with on a one-on-one basis, as some are working or have other acceptable reasons for missing a meeting. Attendance and communication are vital if you are a member. Please communicate your reason for missing meetings and/or work days. Time can be made up on work days missed.
      13. Gravel has been placed under the deer pole at the campsite
      14. p.    NEXT MEETING set for the first day of modern gun season, 2011 at 7:00pm at the camphouse.
